Niacinamide

Niacinamide — Vitamin B3 in its active form — is one of the most extensively studied ingredients in dermatology: well-tolerated, backed by decades of clinical use, and effective across a wide range of skin concerns.

What it does

Niacinamide supports several things at once. It helps skin build ceramides and fatty acids — the raw materials of a healthy barrier — which is why it's often reached for when skin feels reactive or dehydrated. It calms inflammation and oxidative stress, which shows up as less redness and a calmer complexion over time. It slows the transfer of pigment between skin cells, helping even out tone. And it helps regulate oil production, without stripping the skin the way harsher actives can.

Why concentration matters

Niacinamide is gentle by nature, but gentle doesn't mean one size fits all. Research generally places well-tolerated results in the 2–5% range, with benefit continuing to build at higher concentrations for skin that can take it. That's why we don't sell "niacinamide" as a single product — we formulate 2%, 4%, and 8%, and we don't unlock the higher tier until we know how your skin responds to the one before it.
